A few things to keep in mind regarding logos:
Text based logos – choose a font/text type that really represents your company’s image. If you are a corporate business, then bold, straight letters may be the way to go. An interior decorator may opt for a beautifully classic serif font, and a restaurant or artist for a handwritten font.
Icons/Symols – If you are opting for a logo design that includes an icon, keep in mind the connotations people have with a symbol. Images are powerful communication tools – use them wisely and to their fullest capacity!
Generally, the life span of a strong logo is 10 years. After those 10 years, it is usually time to update your logo with a fresh, contemporary look.
